Dr. Emil Kurian is a board-certified anesthesiology and interventional pain management specialist committed to providing sophisticated, individualized care for patients living with acute and chronic pain. Drawing on extensive training in anesthesiology and advanced pain medicine, Dr. Kurian combines precision-guided procedures, innovative therapies, and a compassionate approach to help patients restore function and return to the activities they enjoy.
His clinical interests include advanced interventional pain procedures, neuromodulation, regenerative medicine, and minimally invasive treatments for complex spine, nerve, and musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Kurian takes a comprehensive approach to every patient, carefully considering their symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals when developing a treatment plan. His philosophy is centered on combining modern medical innovation with personalized care to help patients achieve meaningful and sustainable improvements in their quality of life.
Education & Training
Dr. Kurian earned his medical degree at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he developed a strong foundation in clinical medicine and academic research. He went on to complete his anesthesiology residency at Johns Hopkins University, followed by an Interventional Pain Management fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Throughout his training, Dr. Kurian participated in research involving anesthesiology, pain management, obstetric anesthesia, and obstetric pain, contributing to his broad understanding of both complex pain conditions and advanced approaches to patient care. His academic and clinical training have shaped his commitment to providing thoughtful, innovative, and comprehensive treatment for every patient.
